We are seeking an experienced AR/AP Specialist to support the day-to-day financial operations of our manufacturing businesses and provide intercompany accounting support as needed. This role ensures accurate financial processing, timely payments, and well-maintained financial records. 
 
Your Impact:
The AR/AP Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and stability of the organizations. You are responsible for ensuring that incoming and outgoing payments are processed accurately and on time, supporting cash flow, and maintaining strong financial controls.
 
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will collaborate across departments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure financial information is complete and reliable. Your work directly contributes to operational efficiency and informed decision-making.

Primary Areas of Influence:
1Accounts Receivable:
  • Manage customer invoicing, payment application, account reconciliation.
  • Follow up on outstanding balances and resolve payment issues. 

Accounts Payable:
  • Process vendor invoices.
  • Ensure proper approvals and coding.
  • Prepare payments (EFT, cheque, or other methods).
  • Reconcile vendor accounts while maintaining organized documentation. 

Financial Accuracy & Reporting:
  • Support month-end and year-end activities.
  • Maintain complete financial records.
  • Assist with internal and external audits requests.

Process Improvement & Efficiency:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline AR/AP workflows.
  • Maintain efficient systems for financial documentation.

Communication & Relationship Management:
  • Respond to customer and vendor inquiries promptly professionally.
  • Build positive relationships across departments and with external partners.

What You Bring:
  • Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting.
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field is an asset.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable assisting with payroll-related administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
